Six people were killed and one was critically injured after a speeding car rammed into a stationary lorry in Hyderabad, officials said on Friday.
The accident occurred on the Outer Ring Road near Exit-16 in Shamshabad when a car, reportedly travelling at high speed, crashed into a parked lorry near the exit. The impact was so severe that six occupants of the vehicle died on the spot.
One injured passenger was rushed to a nearby hospital and is undergoing treatment.
Police teams reached the accident site soon after the crash and have launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the incident. Further details are awaited.
