Actor-filmmaker Rishab Shetty recently met Union Home Minister Amit Shah, describing the interaction as a memorable experience. The Kantara star shared glimpses from the meeting on social media, highlighting what stood out during their conversation.
Sharing pictures from the meeting on his Instagram handle, Shetty wrote, “Had the honour of meeting the Honourable Home Minister, Shri Amit Shah ji. It became one of my most memorable moments as he shared his words of appreciation for Kantara and Kantara Chapter 1 (sic).”
Beyond the exchange of greetings, Shetty noted that their discussion extended to cinema and broader cultural themes. He pointed out that the conversation covered aspects of art, filmmaking and heritage.
What stood out for Shetty was Amit Shah’s understanding of Indian heritage. “I must say, I was truly happy when he began sharing his in-depth knowledge and understanding of our history, culture, art and film-making (sic),” he added.
The meeting also gave Shetty an opportunity to speak about his upcoming work. He shared that he had “a wonderful time discussing” his future plans, hinting at projects currently in development.
On the professional front, Shetty is preparing for Jai Hanuman, where he will portray Lord Hanuman. The film is a sequel to the 2024 film Hanu-Man and is part of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe.
The project drew attention from the time of its announcement, which coincided with the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir in January 2024.
