ahmedabad murder cctv: three held for natubhai parmar killing by

A 52-year-old man was murdered in Ahmedabad in a case of domestic dispute, with police arresting three relatives of his daughter-in-law in connection with the crime, officials said.

The victim, identified as Natubhai Parmar, was attacked on May 2 under a bridge. According to police, the assailants repeatedly struck him with iron rods and sticks, inflicting multiple injuries and killing him on the spot. The incident, which was captured on CCTV cameras in the area, prompted swift police action.

Investigations revealed that the murder was not a random act but stemmed from a prolonged domestic dispute. The accused have been identified as Hasmukh Vaghela, Kanti Vana and Bhavesh Parmar, all relatives of the victim’s daughter-in-law. The police said the trio was arrested in Banaskantha while allegedly attempting to flee towards Rajasthan. Another accused, identified as Ketan, remains absconding, and efforts are underway to trace him.

According to officials, Kaushik Parmar, son of Natubhai, had married his wife in a love marriage about five years ago. However, tensions reportedly escalated between the couple following a miscarriage, leading to frequent disputes over the past six months. The woman had been staying at her parent’s home during this period.

Police said that the situation worsened after a recent argument between the two families when Natubhai and his son visited the in-laws’ house. The dispute reportedly resurfaced again on April 28, when members of the daughter-in-law’s family visited Natubhai’s residence, further intensifying tensions.

Investigators believe that Hasmukh Vaghela, who is said to be the maternal uncle of Kaushik’s wife, planned the murder following these confrontations. On the night of the incident, the accused allegedly confronted Natubhai near the bridge and carried out the fatal attack before fleeing on motorcycles.

Police teams from the crime branch and Anandnagar police station jointly conducted the operation to track down the suspects. Officials said the accused had been hiding in temples and small guest houses to evade arrest.

The arrested men are currently being questioned, and further investigation is underway to establish the complete sequence of events and catch the remaining accused.
