MANIPUR HSLC RESULTS 2026: DISTRICT-WISE PERFORMANCE
Among the 16 districts, Chandel emerged as the top performer with an impressive 97.38% pass rate. Thoubal followed closely at 96.30%.
At the other end, Jiribam recorded the lowest performance with 74.59%, highlighting clear regional differences in outcomes.
DISPLACED STUDENTS CONTINUE EDUCATION
Despite ongoing ethnic unrest, 392 internally displaced students appeared for the BOSEM Class 10 exams.
Of them, 327 cleared the test, recording a pass percentage of 83.85% in the Manipur HSLC results 2026. This reflects efforts to ensure continuity in education even during difficult conditions.
Data shared by officials shows that 19,046 students from hill districts appeared at 61 centres, while 17,679 students from valley districts took exams at 100 centres. Bishnupur recorded the highest number of displaced candidates appearing for the exams.
STRICT ANTI-CHEATING MEASURES IN PLACE
BOSEM had enforced strict rules under the Manipur Prevention of Malpractices Act, 2024. The law prescribes up to 10 years in prison and fines up to 1 crore for malpractice.
During the Manipur HSLC exams, eight students were debarred for impersonation, one was expelled, and results of three students have been withheld. Schools have been asked to coordinate with the board regarding pending cases.
WHAT THIS MEANS
While the overall pass percentage has dipped slightly in the BOSEM Class 10 results, they reflect a complex picture. Strong performances in some districts contrast with weaker outcomes in others, and the participation of displaced students shows resilience within the system.
The focus now shifts to how the state addresses these gaps while maintaining fairness and access in future examinations.
