Actor-politician Vijay’s party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), is leading in the Tamil Nadu election results, prompting congratulatory messages from several actors from the South film industry. Apart from Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Rashmika Mandanna, actor Prakash Raj also reacted to the Assembly poll results. While referring to the state of politics and public discourse, he mentioned that “society has become fan-dominated.”
Prakash Raj, in his X post, wrote, “Tamil Nadu Elections Hello Tamil Nadu.. Kamaraj lost. MK Stalin has lost. Society has become fan-dominated. It is proven that it has not become political (sic).”
“The work of political awareness-raising is always the work of the opposition party. Let’s continue our journey. Congratulations to the winners for their successful public service…#justasking (sic),” he added.
While responding to the actor, an X user wrote, “You are not a Tamilian and dont talk for us @prakashraaj (sic).” Another user commented, “Even you are an actor, but a massive defeat in the election (laughing emoji) (sic).”
A fan criticised the actor’s reference to Tamil Nadu politics and wrote, “You staying in Karnataka. Why you entering in Tamil Nadu politics ?? we know what to do we having more knowledge don’t need your stupid advice (sic).”
The counting trends in Tamil Nadu showed Vijay‘s party, Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), ahead in around 108 seats and recording the highest vote share in its debut election.
Vijay will next be seen in director H Vinoth’s Jana Nayagan. Alongside Vijay, the film features Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol in prominent roles, with Mamitha Baiju, Priyamani, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Narain also part of the ensemble cast.
The official release date of Jana Nayagan after clearing hurdles is yet to be announced.
