By-Election Result 2026 Live: While the 2026 Assembly bypolls were undoubtedly overshadowed by the simultaneous general Assembly elections in four states and one UT and are unlikely to directly impact any political equations, they do hold relevance in gauging any possible undercurrents of anti-incumbency. Voting for bypolls in eight constituencies across six states – Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Nagaland, Goa and Tripura – were held on April 9.
