bengaluru traffic cops stop man riding electric unicycle. something amusing

A Bengaluru man commuting through the city on an electric unicycle has gone viral after a traffic policeman became so intrigued by the futuristic-looking vehicle that he stopped him just to ask how it worked, and even requested a trial ride.

The rider, Jerome Anand, regularly shares clips of his commute on Instagram, where he travels nearly 25 km balancing on a single-wheel electric device through Bengaluru’s packed roads. In one of his recent videos, Anand captured an interaction that quickly amused the internet.

According to him, a traffic policeman flagged him down during the ride. Anand initially assumed he was being stopped for questioning or documentation. Instead, the officer appeared more curious than suspicious.

The policeman reportedly began asking questions about the electric unicycle, how it balances, how fast it goes and whether it is actually practical for daily travel in Bengaluru traffic. Anand then explained how the battery-powered device helps him avoid fuel costs, parking hassles and long delays caused by congestion.

What followed made the video even more entertaining. Fascinated by the unusual commute machine, the officer asked if he could try riding it himself.

The clip shows Anand patiently helping the policeman get onto the unicycle and teaching him how to maintain balance. Despite the obvious difficulty of riding a single wheel, the officer managed a brief attempt while people nearby watched with curiosity.

The internet quickly warmed to the interaction, with many users saying it perfectly captured Bengaluru’s blend of traffic chaos, tech culture and random wholesome moments. Several commenters joked that the city’s tech scene has now evolved from electric scooters to “sci-fi commuting.”

Others appreciated the policeman’s curiosity, saying it was refreshing to see a traffic officer engage with something unfamiliar in such a friendly manner.
