A content creator’s quirky dare has turned an ordinary commute into a mini in-coach performance, after he dressed up as an air hostess and made announcements inside a Mumbai local train.
Instagram influencer Prannay Joshi took up a follower-suggested challenge that read, “Mumbai local me Air Hostess banke announcement karke dikha” (Dress up as an air hostess and make announcements in a Mumbai local). Leaning fully into the idea, he rented a bright red uniform, complete with a skirt, coat, white socks, and shoes, before boarding a train.
Even before stepping in, he set the tone with a cheeky line: “Main gents coach me bethu ya ladies me?” (Should I sit in the gents coach or the ladies coach?). Once inside, his outfit quickly drew attention, with passengers turning to look and some pulling out their phones to capture the moment.
Standing amid the crowd, Joshi began his mock announcements in a playful, airline-style tone. “Namashkar, aap sabka Air Borivali me swagat hai, jinko bhi seat mili hai vo attitude kam rakhe or jinko nahi mili vo agle station ka intezaar kare” (Hello and welcome to Air Borivali; those who have got a seat, keep your attitude low, and those who haven’t, please wait for the next station), he said, prompting laughter around him.
He continued with another humorous announcement: “Do dwar aage ki taraf, Do dwar piche ki taraf, par platform kidhr aaega vo mujhe nahi pta. Aap sabse nivedan hai ki apne samaan ka ache se dhyaan rakhe, emergency ki doraan apni nazdeeki chain ko turant kheech le” (There are two doors in front and two at the back, but I don’t know which side the platform will come from. Please take care of your belongings, and in case of an emergency, pull the nearest chain).
