Jyoti Deshpande, who co-produced Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar: The Revenge alongside director-producer Aditya Dhar, has teased a major surprise for viewers later this year. While the producers have not revealed any details, the update has sparked fresh anticipation among fans, many of whom are hoping for a behind-the-scenes documentary on the making of Dhurandhar.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Jyoti was asked whether she and Aditya were relaxing now that the films had been released. She said that the ‘adversity’ in which they made the film brought her, Aditya and lead actor Ranveer Singh together.
The producer said, “We’re not done with Dhurandhar yet. We’ll hopefully have a surprise for the audience later this year. There’s something up our sleeves.”
The details have been kept under wraps for now, but the confirmation has increased anticipation among Dhurandhar fans.
One fan wrote on X, formerly Twitter, “when the Dhurandhar content is released later this year is the behind the scenes documentary and then after its release they post the announcement for the Maurya trilogy directed by Dhar starring Ranveer #DREAMS (sic).”
Another fan wrote, “There are 3 possibilities of what’s coming – 1) They’re releasing exclusive bts footage, cast interviews, and a making video in theatres. 2) An 8-hour extended uncut version (Part 1 & 2 combined). 3) An announcement for #Dhurandhar 3 or the next film of #Dhurandhar universe (sic).”
An X user also wrote, “Buzz – Jio Studios #JyotiDeshpande has teased that the #Dhurandhar universe is far from finished…With talks of expanding the franchise, fans are already speculating about spin-offs, sequels, and possibly even #Dhurandhar3 being in development (sic).”
Dhurandhar: The Revenge (2026), a sequel to Dhurandhar (2025), featured actors Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, Danish Pandor and Rakesh Bedi in key roles.
The film had a theatrical release on March 19, 2026.
