Actor Rajpal Yadav has shared his reaction to the biopic Michael, expressing admiration after watching the film based on Michael Jackson. The actor said he was especially struck by a surprising detail linking Jackson to legendary silent-era comedian Charlie Chaplin.
On May 2, the actor posted a series of pictures on Instagram, where he was seen dressed in a white shirt paired with a top hat, styled in a look inspired by Michael Jackson.
What struck him most was the revelation that Michael Jackson admired legendary silent-era comic actor Charlie Chaplin, a detail he said brought him joy and admiration for the late singer.
In his caption he wrote, “Jinki puri duniya deewani thi, aur woh khud Charlie Chaplin ke deewane the, yeh sunkar dil ko bahut thandak lagi (The one whom the entire world was crazy about was himself a fan of Charlie Chaplin – hearing this brought great comfort to my heart!) (sic).”
He added, “Jackson family aur puri team ko itni sarahniya film ke liye bahut badhaiyan. Michael Jackson waqai ek ajooba the (Congratulations to the Jackson family and the entire team for such a commendable film. Michael Jackson truly was a wonder) (sic).”
Directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by John Logan, the film charts Jackson’s journey from his early days with the pop band – Jackson 5 in the 1960s to global fame through landmark tours like the Bad Tour and Victory Tour.
The film stars Jaafar Jackson as Michael Jackson, alongside Colman Domingo, Miles Teller, Nia Long, Laura Harrier and Kendrick Sampson in key roles.
