rpsc si recruitment exam 2021 cancelled: rajasthan si re exam in

In a major decision, the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has officially cancelled the SI Recruitment Exam 2021, following the State Government’s recommendation and a firm administrative review.

The exam, which had been under controversy for years due to allegations of irregularities, paper leaks, and dummy candidates, has now been set aside completely.

The move is aimed at restoring transparency and fairness in the recruitment process for one of Rajasthan’s most sought-after government posts.

RE-EXAM ANNOUNCED FOR SEPTEMBER 2026

The Commission has confirmed that a fresh examination will now be conducted, likely in September 2026. However, this will not be a fresh application process.

Only candidates who have previously appeared in the original SI Recruitment Exam 2021 will be eligible. According to RPSC, a total of 3,83,097 candidates will be allowed to appear for the re-exam.

Importantly, eligibility is restricted strictly to those who appeared in both Paper-I and Paper-II conducted between September 13 and September 15, 2021.

Candidates who registered but did not appear, or those who attended only one paper, will not be considered eligible for the new examination.

FORM CORRECTION WINDOW OPENS MAY 16

Since the re-exam is being conducted after nearly five years, RPSC has allowed candidates to update their application details.

The form correction process will begin on May 16 on the official RPSC portal. During this window, candidates will be able to correct:

  • Personal details

  • Address information

  • Document-related errors

Officials have urged candidates to complete corrections within the deadline to avoid issues later with admit cards or selection processing.

CONTROVERSY BEHIND THE CANCELLED EXAM

The SI Recruitment Exam 2021 had long been under scrutiny due to allegations of malpractice, including paper leaks and the use of proxy or dummy candidates. The issue had triggered police investigations and multiple arrests over time.

The controversy had led to widespread protests from aspirants demanding cancellation and a fair re-conduct of the examination.

RELIEF FOR ASPIRANTS, FRESH CHANCE AHEAD

The decision has brought relief to thousands of candidates who had been demanding transparency in recruitment. Many aspirants see the RPSC move as a chance to restore fairness and rebuild trust in the selection system.

With the re-exam scheduled for September 2026, candidates now have a fresh opportunity to prepare once again under a clean and transparent process.
