US President Donald Trump has insisted that the ceasefire with Iran remains intact, while warning that Washington could resume large-scale bombing if Tehran refuses to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and curb its nuclear programme.
At the same time, diplomatic efforts continue across the region, with Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Qatar all pushing for negotiations to prevent another escalation.
